The purpose of this assignment is to explore the vast landscape of AI applications across various domains. Students will choose a specific domain of interest, conduct research on representative AI applications in the domain, and perform a competitive analysis. This initial investigation will help build the initial teamwork and can be helpful for future brainstorming of the final project.
The final submission should be in presentation slide format with the following outline.
What’s the domain? What’s the current state of AI adoption in the domain? What challenges and opportunities exist for AI?
Try to identify at least two representative applications for a meaningful comparison. Briefly justify the choice of applications, such as why they are representative in the domain.
You are welcome to be creative and develop your own way of comparing different applications. Use the following items as guidelines for structuring your reports.

Given the same input, how do these products handle it? How’s the outcome different in terms of quality? How’s the user experience different?
👉 Compare Features
What are the strengths and weaknesses of each application? What unique features does each application offer?
👉 Establish Evaluation Metrics
You can decide on quality metrics (accuracy, efficiency, user-friendliness, cost, etc.) and provide comparisons
👉 Employ existing reporting formats
